The research project is entitled "Avoidance of high slugs by influencing slug friction". The EFB believes that this interesting work deserves a special award.

Women in men's jobs? That is no longer something special. And so, as part of the annual "Girls' Day", we present our chair and the Fraunhofer IGCV to interested young ladies. In September 2022, Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of BMW AG, was appointed Honorary Professor at TUM.

After a long break, the traditional "Barbara celebration" took place on 1.12.2022 with 100 guests from industry and science. In addition to Gießereitechnik München, with utg and Fraunhofer IGCV, the VDG Bavarian Association participated in the organization. Around 40,000 trade visitors came to the 26th International Technology Fair for Sheet Metal Working in Hannover from 24 to 28 October 2022 to find out about the current status and news in their industry.
As coordinator of the SPP2013, utg's representatives presented the ongoing projects on the topic " Opportunities of residual stresses in forming technology".
