Four leading world trade fairs, GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST, came together in the "Bright World of Metals" held in Düsseldorf in June. 63,300 visitors from 114 countries traveled to the event. Under the motto of the Flower Power Festival Munich, around 1800 sports enthusiasts took part in the 9th TUM Campus Run on May 10th. Despite the bad weather, 14 runners from the Chair of Forming Technology and Foundry, utg for short, were also part of the group. The latest trends in stamping technology and networking within the industry were the focus of the 13th Stamping Technology Congress in Dortmund, organised by KIST e.V. and the utg. On 17th and 18th of April, representatives from industry and research met for lectures, discussions and exchanges on current topics in stamping technology.
