Biography
Dr.-Ing. Manuel Ferle has been acting as a PostDoc at the Chair of Ergonomics (LfE) at TUM since April 2022. After studying mechanical engineering at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg and a master's degree in biomedical engineering at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, he dedicated himself to orthopedic biomechanics as a research associate. From 2012 - 2019, Dr.-Ing. Manuel Ferle gained scientific experience in the development and research of novel implant systems and materials. In addition, he focused on the biomechanical analysis of the shoulder joint and the investigation of novel treatment concepts of pathological joints. In 2020, he received his Dr.-Ing. from the Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, where his thesis investigated the soft tissue structures of the knee joint with regard to knee arthroplasty using in vitro methods and multi-body simulations. From 2019 to 2022, Dr.-Ing Manuel Ferle headed the research and development department of EndoLab GmbH. There, he coordinated the company's national and international research activities and was in charge of the development of testing facilities for the approval-relevant examination of implant systems.
