Biography

Alexander Feierle is working as a research associate in the projects @CITY and @CITY-AF at the Chair of Ergonomics since October 2017. As part of his PhD project, Mr. Feierle focuses on the development of an HMI strategy for urban automated driving. His further research interests are on driver-vehicle interaction, interaction of automated vehicles with other road users, and multi-agent simulation consisting of vehicles and pedestrians.

Mr. Feierle graduated from the bachelor’s and master’s program mechatronics and information technology at the Technical University of Munich. He investigated the take-over performance in automated driving in his semester thesis at the Chair of Ergonomics. In his master thesis, he developed and evaluated a driver drowsiness detection system for automated driving at the Chair of Ergonomics.
