Oliver Hausdoerfer won the competition for young researchers at the "AI-based robotics" conference, which was organized by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). He presented work he did for his master's thesis which was supervised at the Chair of Applied Mechanics in collaboration with EPFL's Biorobotics Laboratory about the "Development of a Locomotion Controller for a Fish-Like Robot Using Local Sensory Feedback and Reinforcement Learning".
