Traveling by Train

From the central train station in Munich "Hauptbahnhof" take the S-Bahn to "Marienplatz", then take the U-Bahn towards "Garching-Forschungszentrum" on the line U6. Disembark at "Garching Forschungszentrum". Timetable information: https://www.mvv-muenchen.de/

The  Institute of Applied Mechanics is near the main entrance in building 1, 3rd floor (first section to the left hand side).

Time of travel from central station roughly 35-40 minutes.
